Hello and welcome to the match preview of the first ODI (rescheduled match) of the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and West Indies which will be played in Rawalpindi on 8th June.
Pakistan last played an ODI in early appeal this year. They played against Australia and won the series 2-1. The batting onus will be on Imam-Ul-Haq and Babar Azam once again who is in great form. They will also be hoping from the flamboyant wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan who was not in touch in the last series. The deadly fast bowling department will comprise Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Md. Waseem Jr.The former will be the threatening one. The spin department will be on the shoulders of Shadab Khan and the Pakistan team will rely totally on him.
West Indies are coming off after a series win in the Netherlands. They won the series 3-0. Shai Hope was in great touch and will be looking to continue it. Mayers and Brooks hit a ton in the last ODI and the former can be beneficial as a bowler as well. Brandon King was in sublime form as well but they will want a better performance from the captain. The bowling looks promising in the form of Joseph, Seales, and Hosein. A lot will depend on the latter as he is the main spinner. West Indies will look to give a better performance in the T20I series.
