Match Preview: (By-Vishnu)
Hello and welcome to the match preview of the 3rd T20 between Sri Lanka and Australia which will be played in Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on 11th June.
Sri Lanka got a horrid start in their last match. They lost their openers within 3 overs. Asalanka and Mendis steadied their innings with a 66-run partnership but the Run Rate never took off. Asalanka departed on 39 and soon Mendis departed as well courtesy hit wicket. After that, they crumbled like a pack of cards and they never got any flourish eventually, ending with a mere 124-run total. Unlike the first game, their bowling showed much resistance. Hasaranga took 4 wickets and made the match interesting but it was not enough. They will want to win the 3rd T20 as it will be a pride match for them.
Australia won the 2nd T20 and won the series. Finch and Warner gave a flier of a start in 125-run chase. But, Hasaranga sent Finch to pavilion and Australia kept loosing wickets at regular intervals . When Warner departed, the match was in balance but Wade steadied them to the win. Earlier it was their bowlers, who set the template for the win. Kane Richardson breathed fire and Jhy Richardson joined him too. The former took 4 wickets and the latter took 3 wickets. Maxi chipped in with 2 wickets as well and they restricted Sri Lanka to just 124 runs. They will look to win the 3rd T20 and clean sweep the series.
