         Hello and welcome to the match preview of the 2nd ODI between Zimbabwe and Afghanistan which will be played in Harare Sports Club on 6th June.
           Afghanistan won the 1st rubber couple of days ago. The game was a complete team effort from AFG however they will want their opening batsman to score more runs. The veteran Rahmat Shah and the captain Shahidi played lovely knocks with Rashid also playing a blinder in death . The bowlers did a remarkable job (especially Nabi) to restrict the hosts to 216 runs . All the bowlers bowled well but Afghanistan will want their premier spinner Mujeeb to deliver a better performance. Afghanistan will be looking to clinch the series in the upcoming match. In order to do this the team will once again have to give a good performance.
           On the other hand, Zimbabwe started very well in the first ODI yet they lost it. It was the bowlers who gave them early strikes but the partnership between the two veteran Afghani batsman took the game away from them. Muzarbani bowled a lovely spell with other bowlers playing their part too but they gave more runs in the death thus allowing the opponent to post a winning total. Despite an early wicket in their innings, Zimbabwe stabled themselves with a 61-run 2nd wicket partnership. But, the middle order was completely derailed by the Afghani spinners therefore taking the game away from them. Raza was the lone warrior with a 67 runs innings yet they lost the match. Zimbabwe will be looking to deliver a much more better performance from both the departments as the second ODI will be a do or die match for them.
